Dedicated to and in loving memory of my grandpa, Winford "WC" Hogan Sept. 12, 1923 - Feb. 8, 2013

So much has happened since I posted last. Both good and sad! My grandpa who I've mentioned before in this blog passed away on the 8th. I loved him so very much and will miss him like no one before! I will miss his stories most of all! His voice will forever be in my ears with words of advice and his instructions on driving, yard selling & construction. But I am grateful for our hope of seeing him again very soon when he will be young and healthy again in the Promised Paradise! (Revelation 21:3,4)

Cabinets In!!!

Tile With Style

Beautiful work was done this week! My cousin Jeremy graciously came from Sacramento to install our tile floors and shower. I am sooooo appreciative to him for coming all that way and to his lovely wife for allowing him to come!

I helped with cutting the tile but I think he was glad I wasn't a paid employee cause he's very much a perfectionist when it comes to his tile work and it shows! No flaws here!!!

Unfortunately he had a family emergency back home and was unable to complete the grout but here just a couple pics of the progress.

Next up is grout, installing the laminate flooring and my dad building our bed!

Paint......Check!

So this past week a lot got accomplished! Hubby installed our porch light. Drywall was completed. Walls and ceiling were painted thanks to John Newton's Painting. And I now have brown nails from all the staining I did. The pictures tell it all. Looking soooo good!!!

Next in line is to get the kitchen cabinets installed. Then my cousin comes down from Sacramento to install the tile in the bathroom, the shower and the kitchen. Can't wait!!!

The last pic is the tile for the floors and the stone is going in the shower.

Flooring Ordered!!!

We made our final decision on the flooring. We're going with laminate throughout except for the kitchen and bathroom.

Back from vacation and our framer was working like a mad man!!! Getting so excited!!! Thank you Alfred with AE Construction!!!!!

Electrical & Insulation

In the last couple weeks we've gotten further along and the cabin is beginning to look like a livable place.

We had to have some repair done to the roof. There had been a vent vertically along the center of the roof. Thanks to Armstrong Roofing for repairing that for us!

Finally got the wiring all done!!!

And then this weekend Alan, my brother-n-law and father-n-law put up all the wall insulation! It's coming together!

This next week we should be seeing the framer install the drywall. Can't wait!!!!!
